Anyone want to meet up and run either near the Hugo Point or Wallisville area? I'm going to run some back areas and do some more exploring tomorrow...

Work & Finals are overrated

We'll catch you guys next time... Anyone got some good areas to run in Wallisville I'm still a novice in that area... I've been looking at Google Earth and some Aerial Software we use here at work to pinpoint some areas I can just run in and have fun...

I'm pretty sure I will be out there in the morn if the weather is decent. I've got some scouting to do. I'll be dropping in at Hugo. I run a 18' PD.

A good place to start - right across from Hugo and a bit north
is the lake on the right (no name lake) ---- you go into the lake
thru a narrow channel and it opens up.... I usually hug the right hand shoreline all the way around the lake and back towards I-10 --- there is a shallow water slough at the very very back with some lil grass islands to hop over and through ---- got stuck (momentum deprived) in there last weekend when I picked a bad line with no water on the back to fall into --- there is a soopy shallow flat and a good penninsula to jump and catch air on the way back out when you are done.... Run the shorelines -- as there is more workable mud there and the middle of the lake has some hidden debris you don't wanna find the hard way....

Take a 2x4 for momentum deprivation relief....

Found some great mud today, TXSHOCKWAVE came out there and his buddy in an airboat was out playing around in the area and we all linked up. Here's some photos and links to the vids.

Looks like fun. Try holding the camera still next time. :D I'm going to have to make it down there in a few weeks for some of that soft mud.
