Broke the bolt in to that is on the starter sylinoid, that the positive wire connects to. Bolt is broke close to the base of the sylinoid. I'm guessing I'm going to have to buy a new sylinoid. Anybody know how much they cost or where I can get them?

Best bet during the holidays. Any of the advanced discounts or Walmart not hard to find. Pretty simple silinoid. 10 or 12 bucks

THe solenoid your talking about is the same as and F-150's solenoid. I had the same motor you got, go to auto parts store bring that solenoid with you and i think its a 2000 model F-150 cross refereneced solenoid if i'm not mistaken. I think its like $15

 well, it's kept me on the water 6 days a week up till this season & only reason I'm not now is work schedule. It also keeps my driveway full of customer boats too. How's your 19 posts and ultimate keyboard badasserry helped you out?

Ok back on topic, just go to auto parts store and cross refernce that solenoid with an F-150 solenoid and you'll be good to go

This isn't where my clients come from but there are several here. Originally it was to help the op get back in the water as quick as he could for him to be able to hunt. Solenoids are not hard to replace and on the 23 Briggs you can find them pretty easy just like stated above. The op didn't ask about a 35 or a 40 or a 18 he's asked about a 23. As for me 20 yrs running and working on these things. Never been to no schooling for it and still have a longtail godevil go figure right. I get my parts right down the road at Union Power Equipment there the best in my area and very reasonably priced. Them or myself will not double charge a guy. Look don't get mad because your rookie and post count come on man grow up. Oh by the way it should be 20 now. LMFAO
