Got the new gt replacement trim. Installed it works great. But when trim is going down it makes a squealing
noise. I backed all bolts off a little to make sure they where not to tight and it still dose it. Any ideas? Thanks

thanks, will call gt monday just so they will know. i'll run it till then trim has a one year warranty. other than noise it seems to respond better than the old style trim.

yes it is i marked it and trims just as much. when ordering they ask if u got 23 or 35hp. the differents is the piovit block that mounts on front side of trim.

Some squeal on way down. Just keep working it & it'll stop eventually. It's just a lil air pocket causing the squeal and will work itself out.

I know this is old but I got the new style GT trim unit 3-4 years ago and it squeals on trim down but not on trim up. I thought it would go away but it never did. It still squeals on trim down if it has been sitting on trim up for a while with the motor level. If I let it sit trimmed down for a while it won't squeal at all. It has to have air in the fluid. Do others still have units that squeal on trim down? Anybody know a fix like adding fluid or trying to bleed out air?
