I got on here from tha work computer to show my boss a boat and as soon as I opened the boreal boat with gtr the screen went to FBI has locked the computer down and pay 300$ to get it unlocked. Has anybody else saw this shit or is it just me. Gonna be fun tomorrow if my supervisor can't get it off. |

It is malware.... Was very common scam a few months ago - totally bogus BS.... Spy Bot Search and Destroy - free download - about your best shot.. Oh and disconnect it from the internet - get the download on a good PC and drop it on a flash drive - start FBI PC in safe mode - create a new user and reboot under the new user.... The malware attaches itself to your user profile - so you have to use the new profile to clean the PC... If you can't get it out just keep using the new user you created till the IT guys can wipe it and reload it.... |

I caught the virus two weeks ago. It's some nasty shit. It got all over my hard drive and I just couldn't shake it. Now I got a friend trying to scrub it off! The friend is giving me a cheap rate so hopefully it doesn't spread further and this will be an isolated incident. |

Got it on mine last wk. I just went in in safe mode and did a roll back to a previous date. It started right up and then i used a few doff malware progs to do a good cleaning and updated my antivirus and was good to go. |

Got it on my work computer last week too. 1st time i got on the web in 2 weeks. All i had opened was statefarm.com and MMT. |
