Frog if I buy the quart, don't I have to buy a quart of gator base as well?

You don't have to but I highly recommend it. GG sticks to aluminum almost as good as the base so you don't have to put the base on. The GB provides another barrier of protection and slick that is unsurpassed in a paint on product IMHO. I will never do another boat without it. Watch the " GatorBase hammer test" on the home page of the web site, then decide.

Frog is a good guy talked to him a few time he knows his shit. Don't worry he won't sell ya what ya don't need. Get the base it's worth the money.
