New to forum and new to (owning) a mud boat, have some experience in a pro drive rig just riding, im getting boat ready to take boat out 1854 with 35 gtr building a tool kit just to keep in boat was wondering what you guys carry with you in boat specifically to gtr 35. Metric sizes for the motor and standard sizes for the frame. Basic size wrenches, extra prop nut and prop, needle nose pliers and crescent wrench. Sent from my beeper |

10-15 metric, 3/8-3/4 or so standard, crescent wrench, channel locks, needle nose, wiring plyers, a couple Allen wrenches I think 3/16 and I can't remember the other size, prop stuff, screwdrivers, plenty tywraps and blue butt connectors, vice grip don't hurt. You can pretty much take the whole thing apart with that and it's enough to get you back. Make sure to bring some towels for the pro-drive owners to wipe their eyes from crying while you're driving circles around them. |

I own a gtr 35 and have a small husky wrench set with metric and standard sockets and wrenches and a good pair of pliers and another prop and prop wrench but it's good to have some electrical tape and some zip ties |

Ha yup ... But on a serious note .. I went a bought a cheap tool set from Lowes/Home Depot .. Keep that in front deck along with needle nose and channel lock .. |

be sure to put some common sense in your tool kit, probaly the best tool in there. A little preventive maintenance and checks will go a long way. My buddies brand new PD sounds a little rough when turning the lower unit, I asked him did you grease the zerks? "Why" he said "it's brand new" good thing he's got $$. |

I carry a couple spade connectors and splices and a roll of electric tape as well, just in case, throw a spare key in somewhere too |

Yeah it cleans it up when u remove the fuse but kinda like the fell guard so I ordered a cover |
