 Beaver Tail SD info?
I know most everyone here doesn't like Mud Buddy, and after doing a lot of research and reading all I care to about them I understand why. But what can you tell me about Beaver Tail SD motors? I know they don't have a reverse gear but what kind of history do they have, good or bad? Thanks.

Not as many people have them, that is why there is less to read. I know they are heavy, and I didn't care for the people over at beavertail. If you've ever been to an outdoor show where they exhibit you may know what I mean. They keep their noses pretty high in the air, and I'm not sure why.

 Re: Beaver Tail SD info?
I talked to them in 2007 before deciding on gatortail... They are arrogant as hell and their motors are really not all that great. I don't think they are junk, but I'd get a motor that you know will support you with service and will be in business for the long term. I agree with the posts above about the
I love the layout of their boats, although they are WAYYYYY overpriced.

They are not pretty boats, that's for sure.

Not alot of info out there on them, that should tell you something right there. Also for the price they ask you can get a REALLY nice used MB, GDSD, GT, PD, you name. Which would be a whole lot easier to get parts for you lower unit.

 Re: Beaver Tail SD info?
Ive looked at some of there hulls.... Very weird construction. A piece of angle is on the outside where the sides and bottom meet running up the rake... Wtf? Welds look like the guy pointed the spool gun in the air like a mortar launcher and hoped the wire landed on a seam.
