If you are asking the same questions over and over about anything MOD related to boats/motors and you don’t get an answer then…..DING DING DING………….DONT GET IT DONE TO YOUR RIG!!!!!!!! The Gecker thread is 6 pages of the same crap and you guys don’t get the picture!!! IF you are not getting performance number with 90+ units sold and some are well know MMT members DON’T ASK AGAIN TAKE THE HINT. If someone asks about a BPS, EVT, GECKER, MUD BOAT MOTORS, ETC. modification and you don’t get an answer after 1,000,000,000 reads then take the hint and quit asking the same questions over and over. THIS IS NOW MMT RULE #69 SO REMEMBER IT!!!!!! MMT has turned into keeping the truth (if bad) silent in fear of hurting someone’s business!!!!! Back in the old days we could say what we wanted about anything. We gave the good and bad about BPS, MB, GatorTrax, etc. for years because they had problems with a few motors. Now all that stays unlocked is good information about sponsors or bad info about people not affiliated with MMT!!! If I have had a problem with something and you are about to buy the same thing don’t you want to be aware that it might not work. NOW HEAVEN FORBIDE WE TELL PEOPLE OUR BAD EXPERIANCES to give others the option to NOT make the same mistakes again. I have had GOOD and BAD experiences with everything on my boat. Trashed my hull after 3 hrs of use, trashed my motor with 2 hrs of use. BOTH manufactures stood behind there product but I was still out a lot of time and money and even some telling my to keep my mouth shut they don’t need to publicity. SCREW THAT. If that is how you see business then you got problems. Does anybody remember talking all the crap about manufactures not recalling products when they know there MIGHT be a problem?????? WELL crap now that its MMT FRIENDS AND FAMILY it’s a different story. DDM shocked me last week when he posted up the TRUTH about his motor and what happened!!!!! That is what all member should do no mater what the root cause. If we don’t we will ALL make the mistake over and over. If DDM would not have posted about the torn boot I would have never known mine could to the same thing!!! So thanks POM POM you probably saved a lot of guys on here a few bucks. As far as Gecker thread I'd like to see some positive numbers if I find its to much of PITA then yeah I'll report that... I don't see what good flaming a manufacturer has on a public board I try not to sink to that level b/c each persons circumstances are different. I only think 2 or 3 people on MMT are even talking about the moded carb or putting it on for that matter... As I said I'll start a new thread with install and before & after numbers so people don't have to go digging through 6 pages which is getting a bit ummm lengthy to say the least lol.... But Yeah I know what's you saying bro! |

Well you know I wasn't happy with the way things went with my dealings with the company. Something is not right if folks won't post up. I have received PMs from 3 different members who ran the carb and say they didn't get any gains from it and had similar quality control issues. Why they haven't posted I don't know. The best thing about great customer service is that you never need to use it. Gecker has some quality control issues and the fact that Westend is now having to get carb #3 should bear that out. If you think because he keeps replacing the carbs your getting good CS your fooling yourself. You are doing R&D for the product is what your doing. I won't even go that far because the carb I got should have never left the shop had someone actually inspected it before it was shipped. I hope the company gets things together but I agree, some of you folks are SLOW! |

Let me chime in here to say that MMT does not protect advertisers from member's free speech. We have been trying to clean up all the bs on threads that take good threads into the shitter. Is this what you're referring to? |

Thanks for the reply. We're just trying to keep these legit threads from going south due to stupid bs comments. Stating a problem with a product or service is ok as long as it doesn't fall into slander territory, then you can be held liable for your actions. Companies need feedback of all sorts to be able to make a company better. I know if someone had a problem with my company, I want to hear about it so I can make it right and I'm sure any advertiser on MMT would do the same. |

I believe that this would be considered "libel" and the statements would most likely need to be false to fall under this category. What I think Tony B is saying is that we can post up true reports, good or bad, about our experiences. But we need to make sure the reports are factual and not just shit talking or stirring the pot. Does this sound right? |
