 Surface Drive Suggestions (Prodrive?)
Currently have a 23 mudbuddy on a 1754. Looking to upgrade before season. I have seen lots of opinions on various motors here and would like some insight on what yall think about the prodrive 36 with EFI.
Does anyone have this motor with the EFI? any issues, love it? hate it? Are there others out there that I should consider?
What about the shaft driven vs belt? Pros/Cons?

 Re: Surface Drive Suggestions (Prodrive?)
from what ive seen they idle incredibly smooth, start easier, and jump out of the hole a bit better than one without EFI. Other than a higher up front cost theres no reason not to go with one. Youll be happy you did in the long run. I was at Pro Drive a few days ago and KP seemed pretty pleased with how they were doing and the feed back as well.

 Re: Surface Drive Suggestions (Prodrive?)
I'm very happy with my carbed 36. It's not usually the case with Briggs motors, but mine is the smoothest idling motor I've ever ran. It'll putt around 7-800 Rpms and you really have to bog it down in mud or grass to choke it out

 Re: Surface Drive Suggestions (Prodrive?)
I have a carbed 2008 PD that I've liked. But the EFI sure sounds good. I am fixing to put a Mikuni on my motor because the carb is the one thing about it that is "meh".
