Ok this is twice I try to make this thread so we can get off of Ben's thread! And ur reciept looks good but I will not steer away from my gran-maw's (87 yrs young) gumbo recipt! And u rite patience is a HARD lesson learned! :D :lol:

I remember goin to my grandmaws as a kid and she'd be cookin gumbo and I would want to look in the pot and smell it. She would tell me mi sha you cant look in da pot cause da possum would get out, you got to wait.... :lol: .. I thought for a long time I was eatin possum gumbo...
