I see an awful lot of gtr35 and prodrive 36 on skiffs around my area (Pigeon ,sorrel).I have a chance to pick up a motor at a good price for a backup and wondering what kind of performance you guys are getting out of these rigs. I think it would be alright for a woods rig. Also what length and width works good. I was thinking 18 x46 . This would be a good economical backup with a 35 gtr.

1846 would be fine for a GTR.

That's quick for a 20' rig.

I'm lucky to get 26 mph out of GDSD35 (Stage one) on my 19.9 x 69" D3 Marsh-Master Skiff in shallow water with the wind at my back...all by myself.
