Alright guys, I'm stumped. I've got an older 2010 frame with a newer motor on it. It drove like an outboard for the longest the with next to no tiller torque but has just recently after a few harder outings started pushing against me BAD. I thought it was a prop issue, changed to new gear and put a merc 3 blade on it, same issue. The skeg isn't noticeably bent anymore than it ever was before. Boat does not have hooks in it and it does it no matter how I distribute weight. What can this be? The prop is literally at almost a 20 to 30 degree angle from being straight when running on step. If I try correcting and making the motor actually straight, it throws the boat to the right.... help?

At caddo it definitely didn't need that much angle. Start us off by taking a couple pics of the skeg from the back, prop. Should be able to trim up until you find the close to or completely neutral spot. Trimmed down, the torque steer ought to be way worse.

Found out my problem! Put an edge to my skeg, it's most definitely bent to hell. That's what's causing it to run straight while damn near si s eways.

I'm sure you've already fixed it. A picture showing the edge against the skeg and what you did to fix it might help folks searching in the future. Don't you have an aftermarket skeg?

I'll post some pics this evening if I can get around to fixing it!
