10 YEARS & 20,000 MEMBERS!

MudmotorTalk.com has reached a great milestone in its history. We have reached 20,000 members and celebrate 10 years of being the best damn mudmotor site on the planet!

MMT started as a humble web forum where like minded people could talk about a new type of shallow water outboard that hit the scene. Until that time the longtail was the shallow water motor of the day and then ProDrive Outboards was born and the mudmotor world would never be the same. It was around that time MMT was born. Shortly after, Gator-Tail was born as well as others who came to market. All of these companies products were discussed and helped these companies grow into what they are today. MMT has truly benefited these companies in ways other marketing methods would be hard pressed to compete with. The power of what we have brought to the industry is massive and none of it would be possible without all of our awesome members.

We could not have reached this great milestone without you. We only exist because all of you come here day in and day out and make us great. We have witnessed many events over those 10 years such as industry changes, the latest innovations by companies, the launch of new companies, members kids being born, as well as the passing of some of our members who we called our friends.

In closing, I could not type this and celebrate this milestone without acknowledging the ones who played a major role in MMT's history. David "MudSlinger" Kirkpatrick, the original founder & admin of MMT as well as Tim "Cutt Down" Pritchard, MMT's first moderator & admin. There were the original members who got the place started such as Dead Animal, Stump Grinder, Capt Jon, River, Bayou Boy, basinhunter, Brooks, Rail and many many more. These guys are owed a great many thanks for creating a great foundation for a great site. Though MMT was only supposed to be a small place to talk mudmotors, as with the mudmotor industry itself it exploded into what it is today.

As we look forward, we can only look for MMT to grow even bigger as we've snowballed at a pretty quick rate and have become the largest and really the only mudmotor dedicated site on the internet.

Well there you have it,10 years and 20,000 members. It was all possible because of all of you. Thanks for being here and making MMT the best damn mudmotor site on the planet!

I heard about MMT and joined in 2013 when i was like every other newb wanting to go the cheap rout. And not listening to y'all i still bought what i was told not to buy. Still have it too! I love this forum and enjoy sticking around and watching people make the same mistakes i did and laughing. Thanks Tony B and everyone else who makes this place great!

We were at our hunting camp in trinity with 3ck , Faulkenberry , and another hunter that hunts with us. We were talking about the upcoming setx mud ride , and they said " you don't know about Mmt " well We looked at it and I've been here ever since.

Was recommended to check MMT out by a friend, great site!

I only joined last March. I had always hunted with an outboard. It was fine for the lakes and bayous where I live. When I started hunting the marshes, I made it two years before I was tired of getting stuck and cleaning off the prop. I use web forums for other hobbies, and figured one existed for mud motors.

I came here looking to build a motor and take the cheap route. I ended up with a new Predator 22 on a Backwater SWOMP. Had it not been for the forum, I would have bought a SPS longtail (which I did later anyways, and really isn't a bad setup)

Ended up getting a new hull by Uncle J Customs, and a 25 Subaru GTR. End of story.

I was told yall like to party. So far I haven't been let down!

A big congrats on 20,000 says Ronbow

2009 when I was in the market for my first and only surface drive I've owned. The Gatortail has done it all and still going strong. I've kept it running in large part due to MMT. Thanks and congrats Tony B.

I have made quite a few personal friends off this site and converse with many I haven't met. All good people for the most part LOL
