new to this place been lookin for a few days. have question, what do you all have against mud buddy? seemes there has been some descution about them in the past but i cant find anything. 2nd i have a 23 mini lite on a 14x48 triton riveted boat. i run the elkk river here in tn . boat runs great and very shallow. can run with the jets plus alot faster per h.p. . when i run hard and go to shut down the motor wants to detonate ( run backwards) what do i need to do? |

I believe some reason MudBuddy is not talked about much here is because they already have a site devoted to them. Those folks over there don't talk much about anything but mudbuddy. At least over here it seems to be a little more broad and if you have a problem that is not specifically related to particular "brand" of motor or boats you can usually get some advice on how to solve. There are a bunch of folks on here with some really good ideas that can work for you no matter what type motor or boat you have. Just my .02 cents worth. |

Alot of the MB animosity comes from many of the original members being MB owners and had a falling out with the MB organization. Many of them are now PD owners. The MB organization also threatens to sue over everything that someone post on this and other sites. Try typing G L E N N here and see what happens. This site was started to let the truth be known about ALL motors without getting members banned for saying what they want to say.This is the short version of things,alot of this played out over two plus years ago. Welcome to the site. we dont care what you run. Nothing against the motor. The brand owner is an azzpipe though. The reason this site was started in the begining was due to the owner getting folks banned from other sites. And the majority of MB owners tend to stay away as some of them were harrassed and banned for voicing opinions here too. Alot of these motor will backfire if you shut down hard due to unburnt gas. Try feathering the throttle and see if it still does it. |

feel free to hang around as long as u want to, everybody's welcome here. there are a growing number of mudbuddy owners on here to share info or tips with. if u ever go on one of our outings, u'll see it doesn't matter what u drive as long as u come hangout and have a good time. i don't know as many people on here as i used too, but i don't think u'll find a better place to get info on anything mudmotor or hunting related. welcome!!! don't mind the occasional internet wrasslin, sum of us argue like a bunch of old men.

There are guys in here that run all sorts of motors and i'm sure you can't ask a question that these guys haven't already heard. owned a MB once ant had no problems with it.......started looking at pd and gt just wanted bigger from 25 to 35...wit that said where i live gt was the closest to me..... no MB dealer within 125miles and the one that was at 125 miles was a dumm azz......gt had a customer appreciation day in 2008.... called lisa kinda dint know weather i would be welcome with the MB.... in that i thought it might be a customer only event KYLE then told me over the phone he dint care what i had all were welcome bring it and eat and have a good time.....and me and wife did!!!....go to a MB roundup with a gt and bet your not as welcome!.......not long after at Muddi Gras 08 i had a 35GTR and could not ask for more from customer service from Gator tail crew allways been there when i needed something........................that is all have a good day! |
