Can anyone recommend a tube that works well with a pretty much stock 17/48 BB PD. My son wants me to get one to pull him with. Who's done it? and How well did the tube you used work?

I've pulled a medium sized tube and a 220+lb grown man on it. You want one with a bottom that will plane. The hollow ones drag a ton of water. Get plenty of rope and make sure you know where it is at all times. Real easy to get it in your prop. I hooked my rope mid-way up my poling platform with a splitter so it pulled from both sides.

Once you get it worked out it's a lot of fun. The boat can run as shallow as the tube in most cases. It's funny rolling your buddies off on the sandbar  if you want to pelt their asses with your roost, shorten the rope

This one looks fun!! http://www.skidiscounters.com/675-531265.html

2 - 120# kids on tube, 2 - 120# or so in boat with my fat ass, pulling a tube at 25 mph. But I have a stage 2 Kawasaki prodrive.

I tried pulling a 2 person tube once and I think I may have barely seen 18 mph when there was only one person on it... I have a stock motor though so maybe if you have a little more power it would work.

I could pull my 110 pound son on a hydro slide. I could not get a 220 guy up on plane on a hydro slide. I was using a worked 3 blade. It might have been with me worked 2 blade but doubt it. He was plowing a bunch of water. Have not tried a tube yet.

Never pulled a tube but I've wakeboarded behind a few of them and it does well.

I've thought about putting a wakeboard tower on my boat to drag the kids around in.

Something like this one.

Last time we did it all we had was a 1 man blow up raft and a wakeboard rope. I pulled that damn thing all over the river that day.

Nobody could hold on for long. Holding the rope with the raft dragging was hell on the arms.

We used to use a cheap Walmart towable tube a few years back behind the mud boats.

Even caught the tides right and dragged across some mud flats. Was a big time as long as they didn't trim the motor up and you get a face full of mud.

See if I can find some pictures.
