Mounting Trolling Motor Battery Under Bow
Need some advice on mounting my trolling motor battery plate. I was thinking of puttting it under the bow in between my two gas tanks. 1) is this safe? 2) Am I ok attaching the plate to the floor with only self tapping screws? I'm not sure how much of a gap there is between the floor and the bottom as it slants up.
Boat is a 1754 Gator Tail extreme
Thanks

It should be fine if you left it open to vent. I think it's a concern if it's closed off.
Second, I would drill holes and use rivets. You'd probably be fine with screws, but I'd prefer the rivets myself.

I would use rivnuts. 1/4" with stainless bolts.
