Mud skipper surface drive
Anyone have one? Looking at getting one for a carstens canvasback. I know a copperhead would be better but a new one is not in my budget and there are no used ones around me.

If you're convinced that one would be better, just save for that one, otherwise you'll end up buying twice lol. The old pushpole or kayak paddle will get you there until then. I know this didn't address your question, so I'm sorry about that.
