| Post subject: | Gator glide vs Ice |
I had gator glide on my mud boat and loved it. I recently sold it and am now running a deep v for lake hunting. With this years cold weather we busted ice many times this season. The result was knocking the paint off of the freshly painted bottom. My question is for those that bust ice. Does the GG help? Does it hold up? Does it protect the hull better? I would think G4 for my application. Thanks in advance. |

I was running GG on my hull and busting ice. absolutely no wear from the ice. I am not running it hard tho. mostly just getting on top of the ice and having the weight of the boat break it. |

one season of ice on it so far. Only big scratch is from when slid into a large sheet that was about and inch thick and we hit it hard. Left a nice scratch. Other than that the normal running of ice did nothing... yet. |
