Anybody have a good idea just what the average speed for a heavy mud boat to get on plane would be? Just guessing maybe 15mph? |

Depends on width, length of boat, and water depth. I'd say closer to 12-13 for an 1854. #CFFITR #TheGhostBoat #whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

Depends on boat and load. I will definetly run the shallow banks and flats to get up when loaded. |

I feel like I could cruise around on step in my 1854 at 12-14 mph with two people and a fishing load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Good info to know , I may upgrade to a bigger more traditional mud hull in the future. Around 12 mph for me as well without a heavy mud hull . ( 16/48 War Eagle) |
