Mud Buddy 50 EFI reviews
If this has been asked prior I apologise. Are there any reviews on the Mud Buddy 50 EFI?

Re: Mud Buddy 50 EFI reviews
The mb 4400 treatment to a 40. Since the 40 is already stronger, it pushes the envelope higher.

Re: Mud Buddy 50 EFI reviews
So it's not a 50 that Briggs is putting out, it's a 50 that mudbuddy is doing from the 40 platform?

Re: Mud Buddy 50 EFI reviews
It's on a Gator Trax 18x54 huntdeck 19'6" long, extented front deck, 10" cat walks, driver box and build-in fuel tank. Right now I have 8 hrs.on it. By myself with the raptor 3 blade it ran 30-31, with a mb big blade it ran 28 with 4 men and a hunting load, that was wot but didn't stay on it to long. I can cruising around 25 with that load.

Re: Mud Buddy 50 EFI reviews
Sounds like a nice rig. I like the sound of the speeds you are getting, but also sounds like I’m going to have to get a Big Blade prop. I am putting it on an Excel 1854.

Re: Mud Buddy 50 EFI reviews
I only ran the bb once with a light to med.load and had to watch the tach and play with the trim to find the best combo. just a little to much trim and it would be at max rpm and lose speed. The 3 blade would turn up to 4400 when trimmed right. Any more trim would produce alot tiller torque and no more speed.

Re: Mud Buddy 50 EFI reviews
I sold my 37 and bought the 50 for my 1851 Prodigy. At first it was making my boat porpoise extremely bad. Even with a 200lbs man riding the light bar I could not get it to quit bouncing. Ended up having to weld some beads under the drain plugs and is running right now. Solo I’m running 33-33.5 with the stock Raptor. I’ve got a worked Merc but have not had time to run it yet. I typically hunt with a heavy haul, 3 guys, dog, 3-4 doz decoys, and so on. Needed the extra horses to get on plane. So far so good.

Re: Mud Buddy 50 EFI reviews
Get you a good worked 2 blade for your hunting prop once you run your boat and get some numbers on it with the prop unworked. On my 40 GTR with exhaust and some other small things, my worked fat blade (basically a hammer) pushes 4 people, a dog, and a full hunt load at 29. I find the 3 blade loses about 3 mph per person you put in it and lacks in the holeshot department with a load
