Ive got a prodrive i just put brand new heads and carb on, had it running great out of the water after adjusting valve lash and tuning carb, put it in the water and it barely ran for a few minutes then quit. Took it out of the water and it wont start at all. Narrowed it down to the heads so i pulled the covers off and my rocker arms were loose and the push rods came out of the seat (i have no idea what could have caused this. I set the valve lash following exact instructions from “Wille fast” video on youtube but used stock gap from briggs manual. Set it back right and still nothing. Trouble shooting this or finding any potential (not obvious) damage is now over my head and i need a trustworthy mud motor mechanic. I live in Lafitte, LA so anyone around new orleans is preffered

Set lash like this. You could have been on wrong stroke when you set it. It will run and seem strong, but will be loose, thus it falling out. Here is link to setting lash.
