I see most people using 18 and 19 footers. Has anyone had a 16 ft uncle J? What kind of motor and speeds? Is there a reason people dont like the shorter rigs? Where we hunt 16 feet makes all the difference vs 18ft when trying to launch boats off dikes and dirt roads around me. Im looking to get a rig that can be able to hunt a 25hp restricted marsh when needed but be able to hunt 2 guys and gear and still get there faster than a snail lol Was thinking a mudbuddy 25hd or a gator tail big block would pair well. Any thoughts? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

I was gonna get him to build me a 1640 and put 23 on it but i found a 1638 godevil pretty cheap. For a 2 man rig it is hard to beat. |

I have a 1648 with a 35 mud buddy. Running 2 guys a blind a dog and a hunt load it would do everything I need no problem. Once you add a 3rd guy the shorter boats begin to struggle. That is one reason why others like the longer boats. They carry a load better. |
