 BOG HOG KITS??
Thinking about purchasing a long tail pre built kit from Bog Hog. I have a 20hp honda that id like to use for the engine. Anyone done this before? Anyone know of any other internet dealers that I could purchase this type of kit from? I might be interested in a short motor setup too. what are your thoughts guys.

 Re: BOG HOG KITS??
From what I heard, Bog Hog is out of buisness.
Why not build your own from scratch?

 Re: BOG HOG KITS??
I dont have a welder or the time to build one from scratch. I have a 16hp mud buddy now. Im thinking about selling it and going with a longer frame and a 20 honda. As my boat is a 19" transom hight.

 Re: BOG HOG KITS??
I think you would get better preformance out of a short transom 1 or 2 feet longer than that 14 ( maybe a 42 or 44 wide ) with that motor.
Look around for a good deal It would be a whole lot cheaper than buyin a new motor and its arguable all longtails preform best on a short transom boat anywho.

 Re: BOG HOG KITS??
bog hog is still goin. but its not a complete frame- its a kit that requires some welding and fitting. not sure about the new mgt at beavertail- seems like theyd rather build a lawnmower trailer and I never could buy a kit from em (couldnt ever talk to anybody that knew. I even talked to the prez for quite a whille but he didnt even know) get a mud buddy. it comes very complete and they are super to deal with. they build some very nice products. Ive had a MB lt and it was very nicely built.
