Well all I can say is the mud was awesome in miller. Half of the lake was exposed. If you like running at muddi gras this is the same type of mud. No other boats showed so I had the whole place to my self . I know now that it is possible to do a 50yd power slide. Lake pass is full of lay downs and logs but is passable.

Brinkleydog,

The Trinity is great catfishin - espesially from the project ramps north ans south a few miles...

Google - Long Island Bayou - Crazy Cut - Reds Bayou - Cross Bayou - right where they go into the bay (very shallow bay) the fish hit best as the tide runs.....

There are miles of flats to walk and wadefish out on the bay...

Locals like to night fish at the Power company outfalls - about a mile south of Cross Bayou - from 8 to 11 pm you can usually boat some nice reds... And after midnight you start a two day limit - if its on just stay put...

But you better GPS mark Cross or you will never find it after a few cold ones at midnight going back...

Post subject:  Re: Fun run wallisville project

About 3 hours I would guess dependin on how heavy a foot you got is my best guess....

it's 157 miles to Winnie then another 20-25 to Wallisville...straight shot West on I-10 the whole way

Ben, it takes me a hour and 45 minutes to get to Laffeyette from here in Orange. Wallisville is about another hour and 10 minutes from here. All I-10 the whole way. Very easy drive, I hope to see you there!! Talk to Pasbon, I have been trying to get him to make the drive also. Heck any of you guys in LA. It's a real easy drive for you guys!!

Post subject:  Re: Fun run wallisville project

Imma try and make it from Lafayette; will know more this evening and post then. Don't know who else is coming from the LA side. Maybe some of them will post up and let everyone know. Can one of you TX guys confirm directions to the landing? I think I can get to the road going south. I always see it coming back from Houston and say to myself, "wonder if'n you could ride down there"? Is there a lot of shallow water/mud/swamp ridin?
