How To Add YouTube Videos In Your Posts
I've added a feature that lets you post your YouTube videos right in your posts!
All you have to do is:
1. Copy the address of the YouTube video you want to post 2. Paste the address in the text area, 3. Select (highlight) the address you pasted 4. Press the youtube button located under the thread title
This will keep folks from having to go offsite to view the videos.
Brought to you by MMT, the best damn website on the planet!

Re: How To Add YouTube Videos In Your Posts
Thanks Tony!
Only other thing and it's just something that probably only bothers me but, when you click on a link someone has posted on this site, it navigates the window you are in (this site) to where that link is. I'd much prefer it open a new window or tab for that link I'm clicking on. Is that my settings or the websites? Just askin? Any help is much appreciated.

Re: How To Add YouTube Videos In Your Posts
UPDATED: This is going to get a little complicated but its fairly straight forward, so try & follow along. For Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E11Blg96Qp4 is a link to a video I made. This will take you away from MMT or open a new window. In order to have your YouTube play in your post you need to delete the unnecessary information. The information you want to keep is bolded below. Note that YouTube is now using short links as shown below. Make sure you choose the "Long Link" when sharing a video the long link is bolded below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E11Blg96Qp4The long link can be found on any YouTube video by clicking the "Share" option then click "Show Options" and click the check box for "Long Link" this will automatically highlight the link for you as detailed above, simply copy it & paste it into your post now. Sometimes you'll see people post something like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2f3r92D0Tak&feature=relatedIn this case just delete the bolded area above & the link will work. The new abbreviated links YouTube is using look like this: http://youtu.be/2f3r92D0TakThese links DO NOT work with the "embed" and you should choose the option when on that YouTube Video before copying the link to share the "long link" long link = http://www.youtubecom/watch?v=2f3r92D0TakSo to recap, all you have to do is: 1. Copy the "LONG" link (see above) of the video you want to post. 2. Paste the address in the text area 3. Select (highlight) the address you pasted in the message body (post) 4. Press the youtube button located under the thread title and it will be put into brackets for you. Giving you this: (without all the spaces of course) [ YOUTUBE ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2f3r92D0Tak[ / YOUTUBE ]

Also, let the video completely load on YouTube before copying the link.

Another side note that I finally figured out, the youtube link can NOT be httpS:// - (secured browser add-on) it must be HTTP://
