Got fed up reniggeneering crap stock cans and couldn't justify the cost of the aftermarket exhausts out there so here's the results from the first round of my custom build. Wound up runnin' great! Got a really good tone, although maybe a touch loud (hoping a crossover in the next round may square that away).

33-34" worth of primary @ the merge = all primary! Thx guys had this chit rattlin' in my head for a while... Now that it's done I realize that a crossover and maybe a foot more pipe can be wadded up in the mix.

SCS, its still on the stock fuel pump, never had any probs, gets PLENTY of fuel! Sometimes I run av100ll or 112 race gas mixed with good 'ol 93 minus the corn liquor. It'll run fine on 93 ethanol though if I jet it up...

NFF, I don't get in much of a hurry bout chit like this but 2nd generation is in the works. Too many critters to shoot and catch! What I'm hoping is this one will last a looong time.

That looks kick ass, I like the way you thought through keeping it clean and compact. The only bracing is the two plates bolted to the heads? Any flex in it or that supports it pretty good? Seems like a lot of pipe past the center point (from side view) of the exhaust is why I ask.

The air cleaner is experimental to! Keeps the rain water out.

I think he's still testing the airflow and will let us know if it is hindered.

It's a 3" washable boost filter from Frozenboost. They're only $15 and rain water wont get in it.

I thought a lot about the bracing and was goin' to tie it together vertically at one point as well as to the heads but a well respected MM guru recommended that I support it from the can (like a motorcycle). Sooo I left the cross brace in the lower pipes w/o tying in anywhere else and ran the piss outta it till she cracked at the brace (DUH!!!)...I sewed the crack and added the braces to the heads then, as I really wasn't liking my ideas for just the can bracket. Believe it or not 67 inches of heavy wall 304 stainless plus stubby weighs a hell of a lot less than a gutted stocker! Now time will tell, this one stays HOT A LOT, and it turned out crazy rigid w/ all the angles incorporated into it. That air filter was just something I stumbled upon from the pipe folks. Figured for $15 bucks I'd chunk it if it turned to chit, kinda funky lookin' but really works great actually seems to breath way better.
