Gator Tail 35 Vanguard Black Death Carb help!
2012 Gator Tail 35 with a black death carb. Where is the idle adjustment screws? I believe I found the air fuel screw but for the life of me can't find anything else on it. Also, the throttle cable has trouble returning to it's original position after running at full throttle. It causes a very high idle. You can push it down manually on top of the carb. I tried greasing it and it didn't help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. First mud motor. Thanks guys.

Update. The plunger seems to be a little sticky so I've removed the entire carb and will clean it up. Throttle cable seems plenty loose.

Idle screw/cable is on the same side of the carb as the Idle Mix. Set the idle with a warm engine.

Re: Gator Tail 35 Vanguard Black Death Carb help!
So I cleaned up the carb but, it still sticks at the very bottom. Meaning just above idle it sticks open a bit. Causes the engine to idle at 1800 or so rpms. Also, I adjusted the idle and now the engine only reaches 3100 rpms. At least that is what the tach says. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure there is some sort of seal for the slide that is probably Swollen from soaking the carb in a cleaner.
