This makes for a bad weekend of bow fishing. The pipe broke clean at he weld and cant find a shop on Saturday to weld it up. I hate to run it like that and it so dang loud I cant hardly stand it.

They all break right there it seems...

I have a questions for all the Marsh Mellow ownders who had this problem.

Was it on the same side as this pic??? Mines was,,,and im wondering if there is something we may be missing......If so,,,why this side? Runs leaner? hotter? Torque on this side from bracketry?

But I spotted one before it came apart and then found the others cracking right in the middle of the weld. Looked to me the weld isn't right. Really thin in the middle, thinner than the actual pipe material.

If someone made an exhaust that was thicker and cost 100$ less they would take over! I've had to weld mine 3 times in the past year

I go over my motors before each trip always checking for things before they brake. Checked it that morning motors have 55 hrs and 4 months old wondered if mm will warranty it and I will pull the other one and have it rewelded before it brakes. Can't afford to be down for a weekend this time of the year. If it hadnot of rained today I would be pissed.

I seem to remember a thread about MM quality a couple months ago.

And it seems people still but them.

All I can say if WHAT THE FUCK.

Why do people keep buying them and why doesn't this guy make his product better.

They're probably not using much if any filler metal. Also known as dry washing. Is hola good for some things but due to the stress put on the welds from heating and cooling they crack. Definately a good ideal to reweld all welds

I admit I was disappointed. Called and emailed Dan for three days, never heard back. Had it welded back up and learned...

One on my motor has 100+ hours on it. No cracks in the welds or any problems with mine.

Welds don't crack it's the metal on the side of the welds. Heat affected zone is what's its called. I'm tired of fucking with these $500+ exhaust gutted stocks for me here on

Welds do crack for various reasons. They crack through the center, in the base metal, in the HAZ, transverse, longitudinal...many variations and causes of weld cracking.

Im not knocking MM until I talk to Dan on Monday. It does piss you off though when you got a weekend of fishing lined up and something like this happens. I would hope with the exhaust only being 4months old he will send me anther one.

No I didn't shoot the GB I was afraid I might mess up my motor running it that hard with the exhaust broke so that's anther reason I am not happy. From what I have heard it wasn't to good this year.
