 Re: Sitting and driving ?
MB is pretty damn easy. I do it all the time on long runs. Floating handle makes it nice.

 Re: Sitting and driving ?
Prodrive is by far the most comfortable to drive.

 Re: Sitting and driving ?
Here is my side console setup on my GT. I set it far enough from the gunnel to let the blind fold down next to it. Plenty of room. I can hunt three guys on buckets between the thwart seat and the front deck. Boat is 17'6" x 52".

 Re: Sitting and driving ?
Unless your running a center console I feel that under most situations that sitting and driving is entirely too dangerous. That handle will knock you the shit out....hopefully not face first in icy water either...
I have hurt my wrist and bruised my leg from driving standing up and if I was sitting it would have been my jaw. Most of these guys have put hundreds more hours on their motors than me so I'm sure they have plenty of good stories to advise you from sitting down and driving.

 Re: Sitting and driving ?
Prodrive. Just like running an outboard. Just keep ya legs out from under the tiller. 75% of the time i run sitting down.

 Re: Sitting and driving ?
I have a gtr and I always drive sitting down unless I need to stand for visibility issues ie dark or need to see where to cut in the river. One thing I have learned from this site and from experience trying to get a hold of mubuddy cross the mud buddy option off your list gator tail is an excellent motor. I can't speak for pro drive never drove one but I can say the gtr is easy to drive sitting down.

 Re: Sitting and driving ?
Build the HD the right length and it won't be an issue. Had to go check mine to see why I've never had a problem sitting down driving.......(MB on a GTrax)

 Re: Sitting and driving ?
If reverse is what you're looking to get, then it depends whether or not you want it by duck season... If not, then either brand MIGHT be a viable option. Otherwise, GatorTail is the only one that's actually available for sale right now. No one knows when MB Sport motors will actually be available to those that haven't already been on the waiting list for over a year. ProDrive is undoubtedly the one that handles most like an outboard, but if that's not an option for you, go with GatorTail. You won't regret it, and you'll have it within a few weeks with great customer support if you should need it.
