Ii dont see any signs of grease, maybe that lower unit seal is ok

Will,

No there wasn't an ounce of grease or oil on there. 2012 motor and 160 hours on the clutch...seems reasonable for a failure. Unfortunate timing nonetheless!

My opinion is the lower unit seal is fine. There is some build up on the walls of the belt housing. Doesn't seem abnormal for a 2012 motor.

Thanks Bluesky! I agree. You kinda get what you get on these motors. Clutch is on its way from GT and will install and follow up if there are any issues - I don't foresee it though.
