If it all works out great, and GT puts it in to production, then their sales will sky rocket. |

OUTSTANDING!!.. I love big v-twins and especially harleys but you're gonna need to put an electric fan (and probably an oil cooler) on that in order to keep air moving over the cylinders especially when you get in the mud and start grinding... Once again, that thing is awesome.. Great job.. |

It already has a fan on it. It appears to be a draw thru setup. There might also be an oil tank of some sort at the base of the engine as well. |

I like the flow through Oil cooler. It is used to cool numerous things and i use it as a powersteering fluid cooler. Im sure it is finned internally aswell as externally? What is the fan on the back of the tranny? I seen it in the pics section. |

Post subject: | Re: mud viper born |
the fan inside cools the the electric clutch and belt and forces a little air under the motor, the oil cooler is on the side, and the fans are controlled by the oil return temp going to the oil cooler, and they kick on when you are not moving or the oil temp exceeds 180 degress, the switch on the front also is a manual fan control incase the auto fails or you want to cool down fast after running so you can put a engine cover on quick to duck hunt, does have a little crome and didn't think the ducks would like it. |

Dude that's badass. It's a wonder that none of the manufacturers use those motors. Anybody manage to get some video of it yet? |

Slap an oil cooler on it and that problem will be solved if it arises. |

looks good man. I'm in the process of the same thing but I'm gonna have to use another brand. me and hoyt are both bullet guys but kyle said he wouldnt sell me one so I'll just use a mud buddy. I've run the predator long enough. I've got 3 different off the wall engines to use on a mud motor. sucks they wouldnt sell me one. |

Post subject: | Re: mud viper born |
hey man 1 way to get some cooler temps is to bring down ur rpm's some so if u got alot of torque u need to start playin with ur propeller u can run the same speeds with a bigger wheel and more pitch but lower rpm's !!!! And for ur vibration issues try bringin ur propeller to a prop shop and have them put more cup in it and im willing to bet it will help alot on ur vibration problem!!!! Just my 2 cents but very nice setup man!!!!!! |

still working on it finally got the gears cut and in the process of sourceing thrust needle bearings for the reverse gear should have some pictures once i get the housing nailed down. This sure has been a slow process but will get it done. |

Your doing a hell of a job ! This is what a good machinist does for the R&d Find all of the weak links and improve them then make a reliable Product |
