Checked everything out last night. I'm getting the same voltage both ways through the motor. The motor sounds the same both ways. Had good clean connections.

I wired up the reversing solenoid and it works fine but the question is for how long? I thought this was fixed with the other set up but keep frying 80 amp relays?

Here's pics of the last relay, as you can see it's clean and doesn't look burnt or anything just melted plastic, no water, rust, corrosion, dirt, or nothing.

So you get the same voltage drop going up or down? All connections are perfect? But keep having yhe same damn issue? Shit...I think the solution may involve a lot of cussing and some tools flying across the garage!

Hope the solenoid fixes you up man. I'm stumped!

I've been talking to KP this morning... I'm going to borrow a meter that will hold the amp reading and use one of the remaining good relays, purposely hold it in up when it's all the way and the same in down to see what the "highest surge" is. I don't ever trim down all the way and that's when it happens, seems like it pulls when you let off. Supposed to be just under 90 amps. Even though I was getting the same voltage across it, I couldn't tell what the amps were yesterday. Maybe highly coincidental it's always the down... It is getting annoying as hell not being able to pinpoint it. I'm next to sending the unit to somebody that knows about them.

You may wanna check that though, I believe the clamp is only for ac.

Ok cool. I said that bc my clamp meters only measure ac current through the clamp. Dc has to go inline with the leads, max 10 amps.

A lot of them only do ac, but that one will found looks like it'll do dc as well. That's a great price too. I don't really need one, but it'd be nice to have. Last time I looked I'm pretty sure I had a hard time finding one under 100 bucks.

I haven't looked for one in a while and I was probably looking for one that was a multimeter as well. I don't think you're in any kind of rush...that's probably just one they didn't have when I was lookin for one or just wasn't what I was looking for for some reason.

Somewhat of a multi meter... It wouldn't hurt to have one, can diagnose all sorts of stuff.

Worked good all weekend. Time will tell. Its equal to what PD has converted to and they cycled the 70,000 times. The motor gave out before the solenoid...
