I've been thinking about upgrading my bowfishing fan from my 29 kaw to a 35 briggs. I can't find any torque specs on the briggs. I've been told that the 29 is a dog compared to 35 in a MM application. I have a 35 gtr but I can't really compare the two engines due to their different applications. Anyone have experience w/ both engines? |

well since I have ran a 29 Kawi on a Hyper sport and when the motor took a crap I put a 35 briggs on the frame I guess I could give you some info... the 35 has a ton more bottom end and the top end was about the same... don't know if its just because of the more HP but I am way more happy with the briggs vs the Kawi... I have owned both of those powerplants on the same Mudbuddy drive / frame. The Briggs 35 will haul bigger loads at a faster pace plus it will get them up on plane faster. For smaller 16 ft boats and light loads the Kawi is ok, but for 17-18' boats and bigger loads the Briggs is superior. |

Did you guys that changed powerhead from kawasaki to briggs have to modify the frame any? Or did the 35 brigs bolt up? |
