 Cam and Timing key Install!!
Well Got the parts thursday night and with in a couple hours had it up and running. Finally took it out yesterday on the water and man what a monster it is. Idles at about 900rpms and feels like it gets on plane in a matter of feet. Dont have a Gps so not sure how fast it goes and I dont care. It runs wide open with a load at about 4450. I have had 3 people so far in the boat and it doesnt seem to slow it down a bit. Thanks again for the guys I called for a little help thursday night.

Did you take pics of the install?
You don't have reverse so you didn't have to deal with that disassembly to get to you crankcase.
The cam and timing advance make a big difference!!

Re: Cam and Timing key Install!!
I put in the 493f cam and a 3 degree timing key. No I never took pics of the mods I should have. I have had the motor apart a few times so It was really easy to do. I have set my valves before and did the heads myself. I would say it took me like 2 hours from start to finish, but I already had everything prepped and ready to go. I also put all new bolts in the crankcase and new gaskets on everything. valve cover, crank, and exhaust. I've put 3 hours on with the new mods and love em
