 Intake
I see a few of you guys out there building your own exhaust systems. My question is have any of you guys ever tried building your own intake? If so how'd y'all like it and what kind design was used? I'm really thinking about trying this out cuz why buy something when you can have the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

 Re: Intake
when building an exhaust, if one tube is a little shorter than the other, it aint a big deal. absolute symetry between intake tubes is a must or one cylinder will run different than the other. I have some nice equipment in my fab shop, and still know that i cannot produce the accuracy needed to fab a complete intake.

 Intake
Find an old Evt intake....same design without sticking out into the rooster tail.

 Re: Intake
Why not build that one, but turn it the other way. Make the carb sit over the motor with the filter facing forward? Kinda like ram air??
I'm no expert so I'm just throwing that out there.
