love the boat it is a

2009 Gator tail motor
120 hours
Evt exhaust
Mikuni carb.
Iron mountain heads
Bps cam

anything i should know ,not know ? first modded motor what is the factor rev limit set at , currently it has no rev limiter hooked up but does have one its chipped at 4350 is this to much ? im looking for reliability?

Congrats on the buy that is a sweet boat I rode in it all day on Saturday at the ride. I don't think you have to worry about over revving it but if you want the limiter for the piece of mind the one you have should work fine

thanks buddy , any more info much appreciated ,also it has what it looks like the k&n filter josh said it was fine to run while raining , but i rather not do they make a filter cover for it that is water proof or a filter sleeve?

I the bps sales a rain cover for it. You may try to p.m. Team camo on here he is a cool dude and could tell you where to get one.

With Iron Mountain heads you can run a 4570 rev limiter.

I would hook up the rev limiter to be safe you got a great rig.

Yep, hook up the rev limiter, or get the 4570 like DB said. Not hard to instal, & definitely will be worth it if this is your 1st modded motor. For the rain cover, I'll PM you the link for it. Go to Wally World & buy some "Camp Dry" or similar brand of silicone spray & keep it coated (spray 1-2 times/month).

any one know how to hook it up and could tell me , i have 3 wires a black a green and a white

Black is a ground, Red or white goes to power source when key is on only, green goes to black wire going to the coils (wire with the diodes in it).
