Post compression test
Hey guys,

Just for shi#t's and giggles I checked compression on my MB 35. Had one cylinder at 155 PSI and the other was 135 PSI. According to the Briggs manual, the difference in compression is still in spec. But I was surprised to see such a large difference between cylinders. I did the test on a cold engine at WOT, and double checked the numbers just to be sure. Haven't messed with a leak down test yet, because I don't know that I am that concerned about it yet.

The heads are factory Briggs heads with factory valves, but I do have a BPS cam and pushrods in it.

What do you guys think?

I just ran into the same thing and after a leak down test I found that my intake valves were not seating. One head was worse than the other and I could see daylight around the valve. I would do a leak down test as was suggested to me.
