Was checking out my GD today and it would not turnover and I discovered this.

It was clamped onto my starter and the bracket (black piece) broke. It has a copper spool inside. I'm not mechanically inclined and did not notice what this part may be in my manual.

Y'all know what it is and best route to go in finding replacement?

Is it an alternator?

The pic w/ motor, the broken part in question is where the battery cables are.

Pull the starter off & take it into your local starter/alternator shop & have em fix you up. Probably run you around $50 tops.

Dude you can pick up a starter solenoid at tractor supply or even advance or any place that carries small engine parts. about $13.
