 20 hp vanguard GDLT
i have a 20 hp vanguard engine that has been sitting up for a couple of years that is being loaned to us for hunting season! under the air filter on the carb it has 2 nipples one has a fuelline coming from the fuel pump and the other has no hose connected to it. when i turn the engine over gas comes out of the nipple that has no hose connected. i cant find where the hose may go or even if it is supposed to have a hoe or just plugged off.. any help would be appreciated.

 Re: 20 hp vanguard GDLT
The one that has no hose connected is a vent dont plug, the reason its coming out of the vent is because your needle is probably not seating.

 Re: 20 hp vanguard GDLT
Sometimes all it takes is taking it apart spraying it in carb cleaner and re-assembling.
Ive seen floats stick when there wasn't even any visible trash or varnish.
