Thinking before I get too many hours on this boat a tool kit with maybe a few replacement parts is gonna be a must. Due to recent events a come-along and cable will be a must as well as a wrench to remove prop. I'm curious if anyone else has done this and would like to help me out with some recommendations? |

You have a GTR that's your 911 card ![]() In all seriousness.. I carry a SPOT locator Beacon in case of emergencies. I do carry a first aid kit & survival kit that can sustain 2 people for 2 days. These all store nicely in prepackaged bags in my gun box. They never leave the boat. I also carry all necessary life / safety gear as required by the State. Tools: Standard Socket kit, crescent wrench (1 1/8" * I think) for prop nut, flat head & Phillips head |

Get an extra kill switch lanyard, put it in an accessible place in the boat, and let your passengers know where it is. If you go over and the kill switch key is attached to you, the passengers will need it to get the boat back to you. A spare key tie wrapped somewhere in the boat is also a good idea. Tools - lots in the other thread. I can tear down the motor with the tools I have in a very small tool box. Screw drivers, pliers, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, small crescent, a length of wire to bypass faulty switches, knife, electrical tape, hose clamps, tie wraps. Others - Wrench for prop, spare prop, a couple of bottles of water, fire starter kit, lighter. |
