I burned the shiat out of my fingers this morning when I tried to tighten the wing nut on my battery terminal. My GTR23 with the decked heads and performance cam requires me to "pump" my starter to turn over the engine to start. This heats up my battery connections. I have one batter (a good one) to which my lights, starter and trim are connected. Do ya'll have recommendations to eliminate this issue...ie terminals and wires getting hot...larger cables, terminal adapters to accommodate multiple connections (right now they're just stacked on top of one another.). Thanks.

Terminals shouldn't b getting too hot to touch, no matter how much compression your engine got. U have a connection that is loose. If the cable is crimped to the battery connector u should solder it. U need 2 check the wingnuts often too cause they will loosen up.

I tighten those mothers as tightly as can be with pliers and they still loosen. I think I'll switch to compression fittings. Here's a picture of my burned thumb.

I swear you are fucking retarded. Why didn't you fix this 6 months ago when you started having the problem? You are gonna wear that starter out if you don't fix it. You don't have anywhere near enough compression to put a strain on that starter. It's still a wiring or battery issue, just like it was when you started having problems.

Put some blue loctite on the wingnuts. That should keep them from backing off but you have an issue somewhere else if it is takig it that long to fire up.

Actually, I don't give a shit about your engine or your finger. Just saying we tried to help you with this problem a while back and warned you that bad things could happen.
