I was running my mud buddy long tail this morning and the motor all of the sudden shut off. I waited about 10 seconds and it crankEd up fine. I was running wide open when it shut off and was turning 3600 rpm. It normally turns just under 3500 when wide open. I had only been driving for about 5 min when it shut off. I noticed it backfired and the exhaust was white from the heat. I have a new prop that will be here to morrow. I have. Ever had any problems wit it and just can't figure why it would randomly shut off. Any ideas? |

That motor has a low oil sensor so if your oil is a lil low that will cause that, that motor also has a fuel shutoff solenoid on the bottom of the carb real bad about gummin up. Clean or cut the fuel shutoff needle off. Let us know how you make out |

I had a 24 Honda that the oil level sensor crapped out on.You would be runnin along wide open and it would die like you turned off the key.Check your oil level and if fine then unplug oil sensor and go run it.I ran mine for years with sensor unplugged, these motors dont use oil unless theres a problem. |
