I just thought it would be interesting to get a general consensus of the different amount of hours MMT users have on their current engines. If you have a high amount of hours, what do you mainly use it for and what have you done as far as rebuilds, mods, etc.?

This thread may be useless, but it's more out of curiosity...feel free to comment.

215 or thereabouts with no mods. Grease the shaft randomly and change the oil one day when I get real bored.

I've got about 50 since I built the powerhead, probably 300 or so on the frame, no telling how many hours the block has on it.

Only bout 130 on mine. I called midwest super cub couple days ago ta talk bout sending my high compression heads in ta get um decked and I asked em bout da valves. He said how many hours on em. So I told em and said I was worried bout em leaking and while I got em off why not do em. He laughed at me. Said der ain't no way ta be worryin bout da valves at 130 hours and ta reuse em and save da money towards another mod.

O6 GD frame. No telling how many hours on it. Completely rebuilt power head, all stage 3 and so far about ten hours. My last stage 3 had about 90 before splitting like a tin can...

just picked up my 08 PD 36 on the last day of Ms. duck season (Jan. 29, I think) and sold Podcast my 27. The 36 had 100 hrs. I have put 10 hrs on it, along with the reverse plate, pin puller, exhaust, heads, and carb. I THINK I am done with the mods.

He put reverse on it

Post subject:  Re: Current Hours on Your Engines

the guy I bought it from didn't have the plate between the powerhead and LU that swiveled around. Swapped it out with the "reverse plate" so that it had reverse on it. Yeah, i know. Why in the hell would someone buy a new PD without reverse.....? I used that as a strong bargaining tool! Haha

06 35 GDSG bought it beginning of last season with 12 hours on the boat motor and trailer ... New stock carb and a crossover exhaust . Has 57 hours on it now running just fine .. gonna add single mikuni and a 3 blade prop and I'm done with mods until I get bored !

Post subject:  Re: Current Hours on Your Engines

300 +/- hours now over all

150+ hours on my mods & I drive my rig like I stole it! Mikuni Carb, MM-X Exhaust, P/P stock heads, BPS cam, Roller Rockers, Push Rods, SS Valves

I have never had a single issue other than the motor grounding out from salt spray on the plug wires. Some electrical tape solved that issue.
