I'm new to mud motors but I'm thinking about getting a 8 hp go devil to get to some of my fishing holes where outboards can't go. I was ganna put it on a 12' alumacraft Jon boat. But don't know if the 8hp would push through 4-6 inches of water with a soft bottom?

It should push you through, but it's going to be real slow.
