Not being mechanically inclinded, I'd start with carb and exhaust. Both are fairly simple bolt ons.

I'd get a 35 carb, cam, heads, and exhaust.

Re: What would you all recommend to mod up my motor
lefty loosey, righty tighty. A cam swap is the same concept as anything else Its not like you have to grind the cam out of a stone, just align the timing marks.

Woodie, you left out pistons and rods. If you're gonna do it, do it right.

Re: What would you all recommend to mod up my motor
your right, if he has the heads and the crankcase cover off, he might as well unbolt all of four bolts on the rod caps and replace that too.

Re: What would you all recommend to mod up my motor
A good pair of mods to start with is a plutonium powered flux capacitor and a nitroglycerin fueled carb.

Re: What would you all recommend to mod up my motor
If you know what a feeler gauge is and how to use it, go with a new carb with an accelerator pump, custom heads, and open exhaust. Adjusting the valves is really the only technical part and it's easy if you use the right technic.

Re: What would you all recommend to mod up my motor
replace the frame with a surface drive frame, which is about 3500$, and also cheaper than fully modding your motor But on a more serious note, carb, exhaust, and heads.. the heads arent too tricky you can youtube the crap out of how to adjust valves and figure it out.
