 RPM
What is the maximum RPM for a 36 prodrive? I am turning about 4100 at WOT and only making 19mph with my boat. Boat is 18X48 homemade all 3/16".
Thanks
Warren

 Re: RPM
Either your prop is shot, or your valves are leaking BAD.

 Re: RPM
Stock motor 4100 is not that bad.
Heavy ass boat will slow you down.

 Re: RPM
Instead of jumping right into that his motor has leaking valves or the prop is shot, why not ask him if he knows if the transom height is right and at the right angle? Is the boat hooked? How many people were in the boat? How much stuff there was in the boat? It seems like some time things make a boat go slower than just the mechanics of the engine be messed up. I know there are always some who likes to answer that mods is the answer or your valves are leaking or your valves needs to be adjusted but sometime that is not always the answer. Maybe a little more about the boat would help?
Now Marshrat, are they jugging and catching catfish around Myers yet?

 Re: RPM
Just checked a buddy's prop and realize mine is worn very badly. The tips on my prop are gone completely so that is most likely the cause of the slower speed. I am going to get his prop and try it, then either bring mine to a shop for a rebuild or get a new one from prodrive.
Thanks for your time and opinions.
