I use a 3/8 piece of all thread with a bolt on one end,

If the motor has electric, manual trim why would there be a need for an adjustable pin?? The pin y'all are talking about is the resting point for the motor at the bottom of the trim cycle. Haven't , ran one of the motors yet, but I have one in Calen's shop paid in full ready to be picked up.

Still lost.... If the pin was in the bottom position all the time would that not allow you to use the whole range of the trim.

But then you can't trim up high enough on some boats.

Sometimes you need to trim the engine up higher than the standard setting will allow...like when you run sand.
