 Replacement starting motor for clone?

Post Replacement starting motor for clone?
Guys,
Last season a buddy often had trouble with his starting motor slowing down so much that he was pulling the rope. Anyone have this problem and have a fix or know where I can get a replacemt? Oh yes it's a 6.5 hp. Thanks

which clone? might be a couple of things. worn or overheated brushes will make it start slow, too small battery cables or corroded connections will also. needless to say battery.

I believe it is the Greyhound from harbor freight. About three years old. We have tried a full size car battery with no improvement. Looks like we need to check the brushes. Thanks
