Yes & yes. Get the SS & let the good times roll. ;)

Some people say it's actually more uncomfortable because the gov spring is pulling back on it so much. Before you drop the $ on one, have you tried modifying the stock lever? It's that sharp corner that's causing your hand to hurt. If you 45 it off it won't hurt anymore.

Camo I didnt try to mod. The stock one yet, still on the boat offshore for a few more days and just been looking at the levers on the mb website and noticed alot of boats have them! So was thinking it might be a good change up for the long runs

Had one on my 2nd motor & hated it, but some guys like em. I found it was more uncomfortable with it than with a stock lever.

Never heard about the mods to the handle. You may try that first and find someone w/ a SS and run it. If I ever get over that way you can take mine for a spin. I like the bigger lever when wearing gloves during late season. Easier for me to feel, however down here it doesn't get cold enuf to even own gloves anymore.

I have one of the SS levers. But the stock throttle cable end doesnt match up with the connection point on the new lever. It may be a POS homemade one, but looks like the one MB sales. Who the F*&K knows.

Stock cable won't work with it, have to buy theirs or take theirs to lawn mower shop & match it.

I have the BPS SS throttle on my GTR and I like it. It's a pain in the ass to install cause you either have get your handle bar machined down or open up the the throttle lever with a dremel or end grinder. As far as the cable you just have to take a longer route with it I ran it the opposite side the motor and under the breather cover and tie wrapped the piss out of it. It works good and prolly won't break like the pastic ones.

I did what team camo said do. Its way better than the way they had it ran before. Mine was ran under the motor. I just took it off the back of the motor and rerouted it over the front of the motor and zip tied it in a couple places. Also took up some slack on the back and now its instant gas and now I don't have to pull the throttle half way down before it gets any gas.
