Post Where to buy jets for stock 36 PD carb?
I need to rich up my fuel mixture, I'm OK with drilling my mains out but would like a backup set to fall back on.

My internet research has come up dry, PD couldn't help me.

I've found mains for the Teikei carb (I think that's what I got, it's got a symbol on the side that has a T & K or J & K in a circle) but the dimensions don't match. Mine are 9.6mm long with a 5mm round head, threaded in the middle and no threads near the tip.

Can anyone please tell me where to get these jets? Our season starts Saturday and I gotta get this done.

Here's a picture

Call up the engine manufacturer or one of their dealers, give them the engine serial #. They should be able to get them. We need to remember these are lawn mower engines we are working with, nothing proprietary about them

Gary posted some part numbers a few weeks ago. Dig through his posts and see what you can find.

Talked to the guy at Jets R Us, he says he's trying to find a place to get these too.

I've been told the Teikei carbs can use a Keihin jet but none of those look like this one either.

Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed while I drill!

Go to the Briggs site, pull up the IPL for your motor, find the illustration for the carb and get the index number for the jets, go down to the bottom of the PDF and get all the jet part numbers to order. Jacks Small Engine, Boat Dr, etc... can get them to you.

If you want bigger, go to the IPL for the horizontal motor, stock is 142/148.

I looked at the IPL for mine, but it didn't have the jets listed. I didn't go through and check multiple model numbers though.

Thanks gary. I was looking at the ipl on the site I buy parts from and its a little different than the briggs site. I did not know that. I do see its on the briggs site though. I didnt need them and did not look very hard for them, but I'll look at the briggs site first next time...
